Pete & Andy’s Food Pantry is working to eliminate hunger and improve the health and well-being of our community through access to healthy and nutritious foods and community services.
Who We Are
Pete & Andy’s Food Pantry is an integral mission of St. Peter’s & St. Andrew’s Church which has been a welcoming heartbeat of the community since it was founded in 1895. The Food Panty first began in the 1970s as a simple food closet and has continued to evolve throughout the years. In 2015 we became a member agency of the Rhode Island Food Bank, and during the Covid-19 Pandemic we began serving weekly to help meet the increasing demand for nutritious food. We now proudly serve over 200 families each Saturday and distribute over 370,000 pounds of food each year.
Who We Serve
Our Food Pantry is open to all – we serve many families from our neighborhood and around Providence. We currently have over 1700 families registered, including 1200 children and 400 seniors.
When We Serve
We are open every Saturday from 10:00 – 11:30am; doors open at 9:00 am.
Families are welcome to visit the Food Pantry two Saturdays per month.
First time guests should come early to register; please bring ID and proof of address with you when you register .
Pete & Andy’s Thrift Store
Pete & Andy’s Thrift Store offers a continually changing variety of clothing, housewares and children’s items. We invite shoppers on Saturday mornings to check out our great selection at very reasonable prices.
We welcome donations of clothing, accessories and household items such as sheets, blankets, dishes, small appliances and toys. Donations can be dropped off Friday and Saturday mornings from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm or email us and we will get back to you.
